Club Huis Amsterdam — Art, Creativity & Connection

Questo articolo è pubblicato in inglese.

During the RIPE Experience in Amsterdam, AETH. Collective met Britt Broadwood, founder of Club Huis — a creative space and community created to bring artists, creatives and different perspectives together.

Club Huis is built around a simple idea:

Creativity grows through connection.

Rather than simply providing a space for artists to present their work, Club Huis creates opportunities for artists and creatives to meet, exchange ideas, learn from one another and develop new creative directions.

Why the Olive?

As part of the RIPE Experience, Club Huis connected with a wider community of artists and creatives.

The weekend brought together different forms of art and creative expression, creating an environment where people could discover new work, share ideas and connect with others within the creative industry.

After the exhibitions and experience dinner, AETH. Collective sat down with Britt to explore the story behind Club Huis, her approach to building a creative community and the idea that shapes the platform.

One of the central questions was simple:

Why the olive?

The olive is more than the symbol of Club Huis.

It represents the idea that individual elements can become something greater when they come together.

Every artist has their own voice, experience and creative language.

Connection allows these different perspectives to create something new.

A Community Built Through Exchange

This idea sits at the heart of Club Huis Amsterdam.

Through creative workshops, art events and meetings between artists and creatives, Club Huis creates space for people to learn, collaborate and grow.

Creative workshops in Amsterdam, including photography workshops, become opportunities for artists to share their knowledge and connect with other creative minds.

For Britt, connection is an important part of the creative process.

Different opinions can create new perspectives.Different backgrounds can lead to new ideas.

And when artists come together, the result can become something that would not have existed in isolation.

Beyond the Event

This was the story AETH. Collective wanted to capture.

Instead of documenting Club Huis simply as a location or an art event in Amsterdam, the project became a personal portrait of Britt and the vision behind the creative community she is building.

The interview took place after the RIPE Experience, allowing the focus to move away from the event itself and towards the idea that remains afterwards — the importance of creating creative spaces where artists can meet, connect, learn and express themselves.

For AETH. Collective, the project was an opportunity to document more than an event.

It was about capturing the people, ideas and connections that make a creative community come to life.

One artist. One voice. One perspective.Together, something greater.
